So I found a website that gave step by step directions on how to build your own atom and I successfully did it. It wasn't that's hard either. Only problem is the atom turned out way bigger than I expected it to and now I have no idea where to hang it. I think I am gonna have to hang it from the ceiling. I don't have a drill with long enough cord to do that now so for now it's in the bathroom. image.jpeg

If you didn't glue the parts you can take it apart and cut the blue plastic down a bit.

That atom looks awesome! And it must've been pretty cheap too! Do you mind linking the site with the directions?

Did you need the pvc cutter? I usually cut that blue thread stuff with a utility knife...or a razor.

I didn't try to cut with anything else. The website recommended the pvc pipe cutter so I got one. I just tried with a utility knife and I think that would be really difficult.

Thank you. I have extra tubing now and don't know what to do with it. I wasn't quite expecting the atom to be so big. Still have no idea where to put it.

I considered cutting it down some but didn't want to mess it up.

Maybe make a swing or a T stand or training perch with the extra?

Same here...with the extra tubing. It's sitting somewhere in my house. I haven't packed it yet.

What kind of PVC cutter did you get? Just watched a video about a bunch that don't work well on regular white PVC and am wondering what is best.

On PVC I use a saw.
I know - that's not funny but the cutters are hard to find - at least ones that work. Without a saw I don't think I would have been able to make the play stand that I did.

Can I see a picture of the Playstand. I am tempted to make one of those next. I am in creative mode.

Oh yay! That's the one tool I actually have :dance4: thanks for the link. I have had my heart set on getting Kai an atom. But making one will be fun too.
