Is the nonstick ceramic coating on a ceramic griddle safe?

If it is unsafe, what can I use to make pancakes? Just a cast iron frying pan, I think.

Does your bird live in the kitchen? Or in a room that directly shares the same air as the kitchen?

Right across from the kitchen. Same air space, I guess you'd say.

Its fine. There is no Teflon in the coating.

@Wasabisaurus Unfortunately Not all ceramic coatings are safe. They must be free of both PTFE & PFOA to be bird safe. You can always look up your item by it's serial # and see it's specs or even call the company that manufactures it and ask them to make sure.

Ceramic should be safe, but good old well seasoned cast iron makes great pancakes. I even use cast iron for crepes - no sticking.
