I happened upon an ad for a male tiel for sale. I called the lady and she was beside herself. She had taken the bird in from a woman who cut off his toes when clipping his nails, cut his beak and he was starved. The lady I called had just started a new job and honestly, only took him to save him from the previous owner.
Well, I drove (no, actually hubby did) two hours to go get him.
He is insanely cute, very thin and has crippled up feet. He can perch but I will be making him some flat perches too.

It's too late now but in the future you should quarantine your birds as it will help prevent diseases from spreading and you can tell if the new one is sick
