this is me bird meeko, im unsure what sex he really is
hes 14 months old and im wanting to get him a companion pref opp sex, but cant till defently sure what sex he is without doing a dna test

It can take up to 24 or more months before a male develops a ring... If a bird hasn't developed a ring by the time they are 2 1/2 years old, you can usually safely assume the bird is a female.

If you're truly hell bent on knowing the gender of your bird the most accurate method is by DNA testing. You can buy a mail-in kit online or take the bird to your local avian vet; call ahead and make sure that they actually do DNA testing, though. Otherwise I'd say a repeat of the above posts.
