I feed all the festive mini pumpkins and squashes you have pictured. Odd hard strange shaped gourds I stay away from.
Thanks. I thought the striped ones that look like mini pumpkins were called gourds. I have been feeding these for 3 years without incident just didn't have correct name.

Yes, I wash well and put a mini one in microwave whole until it is soft enough and easy to cut the top off. My birds eat outside of pumpkin and inside too. They don't seem to eat seeds. But other parrots on AA seem to eat the seeds.
Learn something new every day! I am an awful cook but I think I can manage this!!

Freeze left overs, or just freeze to save. I was told by our avian vet - only pumpkins for pie's & no gourds they should be decoration only.
