Video Ear holding

Finally got around to uploading the last videos I had of Vinyet.

This one is dark, but cute.

She used to hold my ear when sitting on my shoulder. Not sure why. It was never a balance thing, just like holding hands while sitting but with an ear. I found it pretty comforting. She was always remarkably gentle.

Looks to me like she was just feeling and tasting your ear. Good thing she was a gentle bird about it. Nerd would preen my eye lids and eye lashes very gently, never went for the eye poke. Lurch will sometimes preen my ear, but he also gets frustrated about not getting attention when he wants it and will bite so he doesn't get shoulder time when he's being grumpy and I watch him when he does just in case.

Vinyet would preen my eyelashes, too! Hah.
She would also taste my ear, but mostly she just held it. Not moving her tongue or changing pressure with her beak in a testing way.

Vasas are espectacular birds! She seems to be so gentle

I think it's for comfort and security. Maybe also letting you know that she is there. Very adorable!
