I've done some reading on the mutation thread but I cannot see a lot of the pictures. Without the pictures I can't visualize very well what the mutation looks like.
Its a mottled pied yellow face something something or something beautiful budgie. I don't pay that close attention to the mutations anymore as they change so much yearly. I do know you have a really gorgeous budgie. Congrats.
Or probably a mix of recessive and dominant pied? Here is Roble. I know he's a recessive pied, Yellowface DF, skyblue, and i believe he's also opaline.
Yellowface type 2, recessive pied blue... and I think I can see where the breeder is saying that he's a violet, too. He looks like he could be carrying the violet gene, but I'm not 100% positive on that. It's easier, IMO, to see the violet gene in the [longer] tail feathers, although I've been told this is not a guaranteed way to identify a violet!
