Hello,
I have made a move to Linnie landing!
I had budgies, but after years of wanting a Linnie and lots of research I am now officially a new linnie owner!
He is 3 years old and hand trained. I took him out for a quick bit to snap some pick, but I want him to settle in so they are not the best.
His name is Lenny, but I might call him Pickles as he doesn't really know his name and he looks like a pickle :)
Any name suggests would be great.
I'm just in love with him!
Is he what would be called a green coloring?
Thanks so much!

So cute!! linnie's are wonderful. Does he have a friend or will he get to know your budgies? I have two linnies and they love each other

I don't blame you for wanting Linnie. They are just precious. You are so lucky to have a hand tame one. My Kobe is very hand shy still. He appears to be the dark green variation. Colors Keep an eye on the nails, they grow very fast. You will find out they are really great eaters.

Thank you everyone!
I have noticed that he does the woo-woo cat walk whistle which cracks me up. I heard him do it and thought it was a fluke so I whistled it bad and he did it again lol.
He's been so chill and grinding his beak on my shoulder today.
Still taking it slow with such a move, but he sure doesn't seem bothered by it.
Silly question, but he is a boy right?
As for the budgies I think once he's ok to meet them in about a month they can have cages by one another, but my one budgie can be bossy so I doubt the same out of cage time.

I would say that he is the standard green that you would see in the wild. He's very pretty! You are in for the ride of your life as these little guys are so much fun! Congratulations on joining the Linnie club!

I read that and it made me wonder if my budgie Daisy will be enough bird company for Kobe.

It made an interesting point about different communication between species. Must be something akin to culture shock if you don't speak the same language or have the same customs. Might be worth it to consider another Linnie for Kobe :)
