Hello all.

(hope this is the right section). I just wanted to let everyone know of a new product that I have been using for splay legs. Sensitive Skin - 3M Nexcare™ US

- Innovative adhesive, Offers long-term adhesion yet, clean removal (doesnt pull on skin/feathers), Repositionable and Water resistant. Works better than foam for the wee ones.

http://www.nexcare.com/wps/portal/3M/en ... tive-Skin/

I had huge success with it... just wanted to share.

It's nice that you shared that. 2009 I had a baby that had a bad leg/foot. Splinted for 5-6 weeks and to no avail. The bone was actually twisted causing the foot to turn out. She still learned how to climb and perch and went to a good home with someone who loved imperfect pets. He named her "Sophia". Bby Hope Gcc 09.JPG splint baby 2.JPG Yellowside Gump.JPG

Thanks! I sure do miss the little babies. They had the sweetest little faces. It was quite a lot to keep up with so I don't miss that. That particular pair of yellow sided green cheeks I had produced the best natured babies and they stayed nice into adulthood. I still have one of those babies that hatched in 2008… my little Astro girl.

Such a sweetheart... my goodness. I hate color (I only wear grey, black and white... maybe blue). But birds- are the exception.
They wear color well... and this beauty is stunning!

I love your siggy… it's far from morbid, it's very artistic. You have a great appreciation for the muted colors of your finches and they are beautiful. Your work with them is admirable. Your dedication is incredible to hand rearing such tiny little beings. Love following your story on your little finch!
