Sad week for my kids' fur babies

On Saturday my youngest son's guinea pig, George, died. He was 4.5 years old. This morning my daughter came out to tell me that her rabbit, Pepper is almost dead. Pepper is around 11 years old. She was a rescue bunny, so we don't know her exact age.

Why is it that things always seem to happen in groups? Last Wednesday my favorite aunt also died.

Lots of tears being shed. At least we're finding comfort in knowing that they're all now at peace.

Thank you, everyone. I appreciated all your support. It's been a very tough week here.

@Baylee4ever, Pepper is dying, and is expected to pass tonight. My kids are wrecks, but are being so wonderful keeping her comfortable and warm. I know that she's feeling their love for her.

Im so sorry! Kids are super smart! My 3 year old cousin,(at the time she was 2.5 years old) her dog passed away last year, her dad explained to her what was wrong and that they have to put her to sleep, she only said ok. Then went gave Daphne a kiss and said Daph if you have to go i understand it, i will love you for ever, soon you will not suffer anymore we will help you to go if thats what you want. :O This was told to me by my aunt who was right there! and couldnt believe it!
Daphne got worse 1.5 hours later! they ran to the vet to put her to sleep! and my cousin didnt cry, everyone got teary and all and she said granny dont cry Daph is now in a better place and my aunt told her yes she is now watching over you from the moon, smarty pants (my cousin)said nope granny she is not in the moon she is now in the dog heaven and is not suffering anymore! My aunt says my cousin was so calm! It was amazing that she came up with those responses. Of Course her dad (he is a teacher) explained her very well everything like if she was an adult person.

I am so sorry. I don't think there is any reason for so many sad events that happen so closely. Pepper has lived a long life for a rabbit. Your family must do an excellent job caring for them and have abundant love for them as well. I don't think we are every ready for when it's their time. When your hearts heal maybe you will come across another fur buddy who needs your loving care. Hugs….
