I would recommend not using that type of bedding for Dino - he could ingest it, thinking it's food. If you do, place layers of paper towel on top to prevent ingestion.

With respect to food - give bowls every day - he may play with it, eat it, poop on it, spill it over - but it gets him used to it. At least one bowl of chop (mixed veggies/fruit, pasta, beans, etc.) to play with, and you're on the right path

Babies are so sweet. When we got my parent's TAG, we went to hand feed him several times before we took him home. So fun!
