Happynme"s Happy just laid an egg and she is between 8 and 9 months.

They are supposed to mature between 10 and 12 months of age. Laying an egg at 9 months is not what you would call normal but feeding them soy does make them mature earlier so a bird that has been handfed a soy-based formula, fed soy-based pellets and kept at a human light schedule would definitely mature precociously.
