Sweet Ziva

Ziva is going through a rough molt! However, she remains her sweet self. I do find her to be "beak oriented," but she is easy to distract with foot toys and she is learning boundaries. Truthfully, she is really no different from Harry at this age. I never thought I'd say this, and certainly would NEVER voice this aloud around the other kids, but she is, hands-down, my favorite. Boy, does she. She is always happy to see me and has not been moody. Yes, I know she's young, but I don't expect "bad" behavior simply because of her species. She is devoted to me.

She will love you. The challenge comes to make sure she tolerates others. I spent more time getting Scarlets to warm up to others. But they love their person and like nothing better than to be with them. Keep the pictures and stories coming. Girls really are a bit more gentle. The boys play a lot and seem to always be on the go.

I am making an effort to have mom handle her. Good advice!
She is usually VERY energetic when she first gets out, so we do lots of wing flapping and distracting/playing with foot toys. Once she settles down, we cuddle, open pins, etc.
