will 20 hours of use get rid of the newness and be safe to operate around a bird the oven is not self cleaning and has 20 hours of use and is gas thanks

Yes, more than enough. I did the 'burn in' procedure on my new oven just a few weeks ago. I did 400 degrees for 60 minutes with the birds safely away from the fumes and plenty of ventilation and circulating fresh air in the house and the smell was gone. I did notice a new smell 3 or 4 times after I did the initial burn in, nothing alarming though. So 20 hours in, you shouldn't notice anything but what you're baking.
