Tips for getting Fid photos?

I love showing off my lovie, but no matter what i do, my photos look like crap. other animals photograph well.

Any tips or pointers on getting beautiful fid photos?

Photography is an "art" my dear. There's a reason some photographers get paid a lot of money. It's all in the eye. Some people have the ability to see and "compose" a great looking shot. Anyone can take a good technical shot. You need "talent" to take great shots.

Study the photographs you really like. Sit back and be objective about what you like in the picture. Depth of field. Lighting. Color. Contrast. Composition. Then just copy it. :lol:

Looks like a large issue is the indoor lighting

Does your camera allow you to set white balance? If so, use it. When you are shooting with a flash, set the white balance for flash. That allows the camera to adjust the colors to avoid washing things out. What processing software are you using? Any decent software allows you to adjust white balance for flash, florescent lights, etc.
