New flock addition!

Although I still look for Ojos everyday I decided to add another zon to my flock. If Ojos finds his way home (praying) he'll have a new buddy.

This is a rehome I know nothing about except I was told he/she came from a bird show in northern CA. He is pretty sweet and has some interesting behaviors. His feathers were a horrible mess but are starting to look a lot better in the couple of weeks that I've had him.

He loves to cruise around on the ground and he has a special spot under one of my chairs that he goes under and makes puppy dog noises. At first I thought he was probably a girl because of this but then he tried to hump my hand!! He's picked up a sun conure call and crow calls from somewhere. The other weird thing he does is peck around on the ground in the yard like he's a chicken.

Congratulations! He is beautiful! On a side note, be careful letting him peck at the ground as he can pick up parasites that way.

Thanks everyone. Matt I know about the parasites...I just about flipped out when I saw him do that. I gotta get him vetted at some point and see whats going on. Also, Courtney I'm only not nervous about him flying because he came to me with a hard clip. I'm planning on seeing if he can fly in the future.

I've read and heard that a gust of air or them being startled is all it takes for them to gain enough altitude to be gone.
