Well 50 lbs :eek:
@CeciliaZ
The birds had stuffed acorn squash tonight, filling is a base of cooked paddy rice and quinoa. Little and Big Scooters enjoyed it, Emily snacked on some, and Jackson dumped out her filling and proceeded to wrestle with the shell :huh:. Anyway, it was for Big Scooter that I got this ton of paddy rice and he likes it.

Chickie gets the pom seeds of course

I didn't get pics of BScoot and Emily eating, they only had the filling! I love the paddy rice for chop! :D

Do you cook the acorn squash or is it just raw? Joey would absolutely love this...Kody not so much (this is too scary for him)!

:laugh: Andrea!
The squash is microwaved for two minutes whole (with a few knife jabs). Turn it over after a minute for evenness. Then cool and cut. Mine like it softer so I can go 2.5 minutes. :)
thanks everyone!

I haven't had much luck with squash for my birds...but then again I usually mash it. I will have to try it out the way you prepared it and see if they will go for it. It looks so pretty!
