We only use SS and cast iron pots and pans, but I saw this at Ross for a good deal and picked it up. Haven't used it yet and have no problem returning it or giving it away, but this would be awesome for the very few things I actually cook:lol: image.jpg

This looks safe to me, both PTFE and PFOA free.

I am really torn on this. Seems like it should be safe, but I dont like the idea of having to season it first by making oil smoke. What am I supposed to do with the birds for that? I mostly envisioned making fried egg sandwiches with this thing, but reviews are saying eggs tend to stick and that the nonstick doesn't last long in general. Of course, that might have something to so with not seasoning it correctly.

Very good advice, @ncGreyBirdLady :) :hug8:

I doubt I will use it. Even if it is fine, I can't make oil smoke with birds in the house. Maybe someone will see this that has used one before. Until then I will just let it sit in it's box on the counter. Have to take the girls in to the vet soon. Will take it and ask the vet her thoughts.

Do you have a garage you can burn it out in? That's what I do with everything. Even the new toaster,,,,

Hmmm, no garage but we do have a camping burner thingy. Could probably do it outside with that. Thanks for the idea, @Birdbabe :highfive: I've made waffles outside before because of the birds, just forgot about it.

It'd be nice to use, but if it's worrying you, then I wouldn't bother. Better to be safe than sorry!
