On Tuesday morning, I noticed some scratches on Léa's cere, around her left nare. I do believe she was playing rough with some of her toys and that is why this happened. There were only superficial scratches, no inflammation and what I believe to have been the "culprit" toy has been removed and replaced. By the way, the toy itself was fine to begin with, it is what she made it after chewing bits and pieces off that probably caused the scratches. I can very easily visualize what she likely did to be scratched. Know your bird, right?

JoJo had the same thing and it stayed worryingly red for too many days, but just as I was about to make a vet appt, it got brown and healed over, thankfully.

Had I made the blog post when I first intended, I would have added this bit of "funny info" that I forgot about until now - my SO says frequently that Léa is just like in some ways (both very headstrong (his words), both eat some items in layers for example) - anyways, this is just another example, as when I was a young kid I also often got in situations resulting in (mostly) minor injuries (even though my mom would watch me like a hawk because of my inclination to get into accidents.)

My mom often said she wished that I would have a kid just like me so I could experience how that was like, I want no kids, so maybe her wish came through in me getting a bird just like I was
