Swing perches?

Did you have to introduce your birds to swing perches a certain way?
Did you find you had luck, or a very scared bird?
I've heard pigeons and doves sometimes enjoy swings, but I've yet to experience mine "enjoying" it, granted it was hung by a carabiner hook and had all kinds of momentum.
It was the common kind you find in pet stores.

Pete hates anything that moves. Sophie is trying the boing and atom a little. Rowdy is a natural swinger :hehe:

Some take right to it and some need time.

I don't have doves but My grey also hates anything unstable in his cage. But he loves the atom and boing when he's out if the cage. He's strange

I put a swing perch in my princess' cage this morning, I showed him how it moved and came back out 5 minutes later to whistling little birdy swinging back and forth. My green cheek has had a swing perch in his cage from day one and has always adored it, jumped right on, now he flaps his wings to make it swing higher!
