Caique antics

At the age of almost 12 yrs., my caique's level of activity and boldness still amazes me. Around 9 PM last night, I opened the back door to load my bike outside in the car in preparation for a bike ride in the AM. As I wheeled the bike down the hall towards the door, what do I see but a caique marching out the door into the darkness! I had to run outside to scoop him up! I never thought a parrot would go outside in the dark. I guess I will secure him better next time I open the door.

This bird constantly keeps me on my toes!

They amaze me. So much bird to handle. I'd be a useless parront to one despite being used to Conure antics.
