It is weird - I took 22 pictures and deleted one because it was blurred. I used to take twice as many pictures as that to get one good Caique picture that wasn't blurred.

Yes, I do make a point of occasionally reminding Jake he'd taste like chicken (usually when he's busy acting like a rooster). The caption for the stretch picture ought to read, "Yep... I'm the man!"

Oh my! Jake is a true model....so adorable!! BTW: I just brought home a pair of lovies and the "said" hen is Jakes color..how do you know Jake is male? I'm curious about lovies now that I have them residing with me.Matt gave me some great information..any thoughts? Oh, and bar spacing suggestions also...thanks!!

I sent a blood sample in for DNA testing to be certain he was a boy, but I was already pretty sure from his behavior. Jake's my little rooster and behaves accordingly. His cage has 5/8 bar spacing.
