It sounds like peritonitis. No treatment it is equivelent to a dead bird perching.

She will need agressive treatment...meaning the fluids have to be drawn from the body. It may take 2-3 vet visit to get all the fluids out. The ONLY effective antibiotic that Ihave found for successful treatment is Pipercillin, or an antibiotic that is combined with it. It is an injectable antibotic. The vet should also give a multi-vitamin injection that includes A and E. And prescibe a diuretic...suc as lasix.

When it comes to birds, waiting a few days usually means life or death. I would NOT wait for the 'trusted' avian vet in this case.

As an update the vet said that there is nothing wrong with her except an extreme case of bloating and it should go down within a couple of weeks
