    Default Cohabiting Snake and Parrot

I haven't mentioned it on here before, but along with Kiwi, I also own a 9 month old ball python. Just the other day she escaped and I found her on my pillow! I was a little shocked, but I didn't think much of it, put her back in her cage, and put some new locks on the lid. It didn't cross my mind until after this all happened that I realized my snake could've easily crawled into Kiwi's cage!!! I'm thinking I might need to take further precautions when my snake becomes full grown, like moving her to a different room.

At least. Snakes and rats are high volume predators of birds.

I think I would have had a heart attack. Thank goodness Kiwi was okay.

There are a few posters on here that have both and can give you ideas of safety precautions to use. I don't do snakes!!!

I would not even have them in the same house! I'd be putting them in a different room for sure and lock Houdini snake up every which way from Sunday!!

How scary! Is there anyway for you to securely close your snakes cage? What kind of enclosure is your snake in?

I am. Bought aquarium lid locks and put 'em on asap. She's a baby snake so I didn't think she was strong enough to lift open her lid.
