It's a great idea - time saver, uses less electricity etc....however, we only use glass bake ware. My personal phobia about teflon or any non-stick coatings on cookware leeching into the food - So it's glass only for us, or when baking for Coco.
I'm just not convinced that teflon is 'safe' at any temperature. (JMO)

Additionally, we recommend that bird owners completely avoid cookware and heated appliances with non-stick coatings. Alternative cookware includes stainless steel and cast iron, neither of which offgases persistent pollutants that kill birds.

    THE DANGERS OF TEFLON PANS
I didn't know about this until I posted photos of the only time I baked for Dante. It was Mama's Kitchen's birdie bread.

I thought that I better not bake anything for him yet until I do more reading. We received AO order but I didn't get the chance to read up about the different baking pans (what's safe and what's not safe). It is the weekend already and I plan a Dante baking day tomorrow with AO
I will use a glass bake ware from now on!
    Thanks for the info.

LOL yes. Sadly because I have to do it in the garage they don't really get birdie bread often, especially with it getting colder!

Well if it only takes 15 minutes, you could plan a half day in the garage and stock up for the winter.

I have to agree I wouldn't chance it.Beside any teflon is not good for the birds. Not trying to upset you or anything, Shawna. Go back to baking your bread in the oven.... Just in case.
